The cedar plug has been around the fishing community for many years and is still one of the most deadly tools to put almost any pelagic fish in the boat.
The large cedar plugs have been Bluefin killers the last few seasons, so we decided to make a chain right here in the USA using top quality components to ensure you don't lose a fish of a lifetime to the poorly rigged cheap lures that saturate our market from overseas. This is one of the most effective lures for west coast Yellowfin and Dorado, but we specialized this one for Bluefin Tuna. Our "El Gordo" Chain is rigged light enough for smaller grade tuna and dorado, but is specialized for big fish. Completely rigged right here in Southern California. We can always customize as well. These come ready to fish. As always, when trolling utilize a good quality double ball bearing snap swivel on your main line to clip onto your lures, whether a cedar plug chain, spreader bar, or marlin lure. Never tie your main line to the chafe loop on a trolling lure.
